Director - China Ministry (Singapore)

Reports to:

TWR International Director for Asia

Job Purpose Summary:

Represent the TWR leadership in the stewardship and management of God’s strategic vision through TWR, in collaboration with the Singapore Service Center and working alongside all relevant partner ministries and ministry leaders in and beyond China.

Job Scope and Goals:

  • Steward the development of our strategic initiatives, ministry plans and resources in China and amongst the Chinese Diaspora.
  • Identify and stimulate capacity building initiatives with partner ministries in China and other regions with Chinese ministry presence.
  • Contribute to the personal and professional development of a team of ministry leaders.
  • Fundraise for the ministry operations, initiatives and projects and promote the work of TWR-Asia in China and other countries in the world.
  • Focus TWR resources on the development of indigenous Christian communities, ensuring financial best practice and accountability in all ministry aspects in liaison with the Regional Treasurer.
  • Oversee all legal aspects of the work within the China ministry.
  • Ensure good understanding of the Intellectual Property Right management (IPR) and that they are in place, in association with source materials, and that no use, duplication or distribution of finished content or its components will be made without such determination.
  • Cooperate and coordinate resources and services with Marketing Communications, Media Resource Group and Ministry Operations Group and other TWR offices and partners as appropriate.

Pre-requisites:

  • Preferably possess a degree in its related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant business development and management experience.
  • Requires a sense of calling to enable others to fulfill their calling and ministry
  • Requires ability to plan, organize and manage resources toward strategic outcomes.
  • Requires familiarity with such professional disciplines as missiology, church growth, cross-cultural communication, and relevant world religions.
  • Requires the ability to speak compellingly in various settings to represent China (around the world as appropriate) for the development of resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations across a variety of cultures.
  • Ability to travel.
