- Bible translation in indigenous languages has sparked gatherings of peoples in churches across the Americas. The growth of Quechua and Aymara peoples in Central America is exciting.
- In 2001, one third of the region’s urban population (32 percent) was living in slums, representing 128 million people
- About 29 percent of homicides in Latin America are among youth 10 to 19 years of age; homicide is the second leading cause of death for this age group in 10 of the 21 countries with populations over 1 million
- Outside Africa, four of the top five countries with the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence are in the Americas—Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Bahamas and Guyana

- Train pastors who have not had formal theological training through the 15-minute Escuela Biblica program

- Children who attend Pedrito el Pulpo radio rallies receive kits of school supplies
