Role Summary
Can you draw people's minds and hearts into a project through a good story? Might God be calling you to tell His story to those who otherwise might not hear? You may have the opportunity to work with TWR-Africa's cross-cultural, global marketing and communications team to research and write articles, assisting with graphic design and layouts. By networking with partner offices, you can help them tell the story of what God's up to through TWR's media outreach in the Africa region! 

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!

Research Journalist Role Summary: Kempton Park, South Africa

Assist the Public Relations Director in all aspects of researching information and writing articles for all TWR-Africa publications in addition to responding to the needs of other TWR offices, supplying information and articles from the Africa region for their publications.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow with attention to detail


  • Research information on Africa as a region and TWR’s ministry in the region, people groups, demographics, radio penetration, etc.
  • Collate and store information researched and make project managers aware of the availability of information relating to their projects
  • Provide information to TWR partners and PR departments

Desirable Qualifications:

  • At least four years’ research experience
  • Preferably a completed course in Journalism of no less than certificate level
  • Basic skills in file management in Windows, XP and Vista
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
