Guam Infrastructure Upgrades

KTWR, TWR's shortwave radio station on the island of Guam, has been broadcasting the gospel to many parts of Asia since the 1970s. The station infrastructure is approaching 50 years old, and many issues arise due to the age of the facility. The environment on Guam is extremely harsh, with intense UV radiation, humidity and heat, pelting rains, and salt spray from the nearby ocean all pounding away not only on the towers and antennas but also on our building.

To be sure that our facilities are equipped to meet current and future ministry needs, some important upgrades of the facilities are needed. These include:

  • Transmitter Hall expansion wall – The building housing TWR’s transmitters needs to be expanded for future growth / equipment. Cost, $93,400
  • Driveway upgrade – Forty-plus years has washed away much of road and parking areas around the site.  Last year, the road was upgraded, but there is still a need to update the driveway and parking area directly around the building. Cost, $33,400
Thanks for your generous support of these important projects that enable us to carry out the ministry effectively from Guam.
