1 & 2 Kings
From Solomon's wisdom, the prophets Elijah and Elisha, and the fall of Jerusalem, discover why obeying God and putting Him first matters.
The Mission 66 Study Guide for 1 & 2 Kings traces Israel's story from the height of its golden age to the devastation of exile. You'll watch Solomon ask for wisdom and build the temple, then see his compromises split the kingdom in two. Along the way you'll meet prophets like Elijah and Elisha, whose bold faith and miracles confronted idolatry, and kings both faithful and wicked, from Hezekiah and Josiah to Ahab and Manasseh.
Each lesson pairs with the Mission 66 audio commentary hosted by John Mathews and Esther Sisulu, and includes a short summary, six comprehension questions, a reflection question, and a personal application to help the teaching move from head to heart. Themes of wisdom, humility, prayer, and obedience, along with the cost of spiritual compromise, run throughout. An answer key at the back makes the guide easy to use on your own or in a small group.
