Emily Arcuri
Emily was born and raised in a Christian home in Pennsylvania, USA. Interestingly, her parents supported TWR missionaries to Bonaire, so she was aware of the organization from an early age.
After graduating from university in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre, she lived in Europe for five years--first in Austria and then in Slovakia! Through some difficult circumstances, Emily moved back to the USA in 2016 and was soon hired as an admission counselor at her alma mater, Bob Jones University. In a matter of months, she was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. Although her perspective has been forever altered, she can say with confidence that God is unchanging, sovereign, merciful, and loving. And as far as she knows, she is currently cancer-free!
During her time in the States, her persistent love for Europe and desire to return never truly vanished. Occasionally, she’d browse TWR’s job postings but didn’t feel comfortable about raising financial support. After God gently but suddenly changed her will in that area, she applied to TWR in early 2021. The rest, as they say, is history!
She is grateful to be using her communication skill set within the ministry of Member Care Media, working with a multicultural team, and engaging in TWR’s far-reaching gospel ministry. Emily continues to marvel at the ways in which God directs her path, fulfills her desires (in His way), and provides for both her visible and invisible needs. When His goal for a life is sanctification, things certainly aren’t boring!
