Role Summary
We would like you to join our TWR family in West Africa and help us keep broadcasting God's Word and love in West Africa. If you have experience with the maintenance of machinery and buildings and would like to use those gifts in the spread of the Gospel, then this may be the place for you. The 400-acre transmitter site has diesel generators, antennas, vehicles, tractors, and other machinery which need oversight, along with the buildings. We look forward to hearing from you!
Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!
Mechanic and Maintenance Technician Role Summary: West Africa
Participate in maintenance of antenna towers and associated diesel equipment, TWR vehicles, transmitter building, studio building and 400-acre TWR-site, missionary residences and mission vehicles.

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid conditions
Responsibilities:
- Operation and maintenance of diesel generators
- Vehicle, tractor and other machinery maintenance
- Participate in maintenance of towers and associated hardware, at heights above 500’
- Execute basic repairs of HVAC, small motors, fans, etc.
- Repair and maintain fences, roofing, painting, grounds, etc.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical background
- Experience with diesel engines
- Knowledge of tower structures and support systems, along with a familiarity with standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance
- Proficient in French or a willingness to attend language school
