Ava Carlson
Ava will be using her electrical engineering skills to serve the people of Latin America and the Caribbean from the island of Bonaire this summer.
Ava comes to TWR from San Diego, California where she is currently studying Electrical Engineering. She is a sophomore at San Diego State University where she is actively involved in campus ministry and is a part of the Society of Women Engineers. Ava learned about TWR through one of our partners, The Traveling Team.
She will spend the summer serving with two other interns on the island of Bonaire as a part of the Broadcast Operations team. TWR’s transmitter on Bonaire is the highest powered AM transmitter in the western hemisphere, reaching Latin America and the Caribbean with the good news of Jesus! Ava says, “TWR is a unique opportunity to combine my interest in engineering along with the Great Commission to share the gospel with the world.”
