Role Summary
Do you have trade skills like welding, pipe-fitting, climbing high towers, mechanical experience, tower installation/maintenance gifts? Do you wonder if you might be needed in the world of missions? We do need you at our global transmitter sites like Guam, the Caribbean or Africa. Come and help out, ensuring that the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ reaches those who might otherwise have no hope. Talk to us if you have a willing heart to serve the Lord in a variety of tasks, on cross-cultural teams with like-minded missionaries.
Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!
Tower Maintenance Technician Role Summary: Guam, Africa or the Caribbean
Properly maintain antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a radio broadcast transmitting site.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor condition of antenna and related systems for deterioration or other threats
- Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job
- Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job
- Maintain inventory and assist with re-supply
- Work irregular hours when repairs are needed or night shifts
Desirable Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in engineering. Associate’s accepted, Bachelor’s preferred
- Knowledge of tower structures, support systems, standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance
- Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related areas
