Israel is a nation of rich ethnic and religious diversity. Approximately 75% of the population is Jewish, while Arabs and several other groups add to the cultural mosaic. In the 1990s, over a million Russian speakers moved to Israel, profoundly influencing Israeli society. TWR has existing Russian programs we can use to minister to Russian speakers in Israel while planning an expansion to other language audiences.
Because of the Israel-Gaza conflict, people are asking difficult questions amid the psychological, economic and destabilizing effects of war. Creating a foundation of trust is a necessary first step to reach the secular, Russian-speaking community in Israel with the message of Jesus.
A 24-hour digital media stream will be a starting point for those who are curious about the Bible and want to know more. With a focus on Russian speakers ages 25 to 50, listeners will hear cultural news, music, and relevant topics from a Christian perspective such as depression, finding meaning in life, financial stress, marriage, and parenting.
As our audience grows because of our balanced, moral perspective, we expect listeners to be ready to absorb biblical content when it is introduced. Please join us as we minister to Russian speakers in Israel with a view toward introducing them to Jesus.
