Five Ways to Pray for the Indigenous People of Suriname

TWR is partnering with two Indigenous people groups of Suriname to bring gospel radio to the native communities inhabiting the nation's dense jungle.
Two Indigenous people groups in the isolated jungles of this small South American nation were once almost totally unreached by the gospel. Today they are partnering with TWR to share the Word of God with others over radio waves.

TWR is partnering with two Indigenous people groups of Suriname to bring gospel radio to the native communities inhabiting the nation's dense jungle.
Two Indigenous people groups in the isolated jungles of this small South American nation were once almost totally unreached by the gospel. Today they are partnering with TWR to share the Word of God with others over radio waves.
1. Pray for spiritual stability and maturity to be sustained in Indigenous churches.
Christian truths are often mixed with spiritism and animistic beliefs. Pray for Indigenous believers to remain grounded in solid faith.
2. Pray for the Jungle Radio Stations in Suriname project.
God has provided equipment for two strategically positioned radio stations. Pray that the broadcast signals will clearly and consistently penetrate hearts for Jesus.
3. Pray for solar-powered radios to reach spiritually hungry listeners.
What previously took Indigenous people weeks or months to be fed God’s Word through missionaries will soon be available daily over the airwaves. Portable radios are instrumental in helping those who need solid biblical teaching.
4. Pray for ongoing Bible translation projects to get God’s Word into more people’s minds.
May Suriname Bible Society and similar agencies continue to provide Scripture in languages people can understand.
5. Pray for effective collaboration in discipling and training new Christian leaders.
For discipleship to be effective, it will take ample time, energy and resources.
