TWR's partner in Guatemala gathered for celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Radio Cultural TGN.
Guatemalans celebrated a significant milestone in August: the 75th anniversary of the Central American nation’s first evangelical radio station, Radio Cultural TGN.
A partner since 2008 with TWR (Radio Trans Mundial/Trans World Radio), Radio Cultural broadcasts programs that teach, educate and inspire on AM, FM, the internet and a network of repeater stations.
Celebratory events included an anniversary concert on Aug. 2; a birthday program on Aug. 6, the exact anniversary of the station’s first broadcast; a gala dinner on Aug. 7; and a ministerial conference on Aug. 9.
All of that culminated on Aug. 10 with the Magnificent Celebration at Parque de la Industria (Industry Park) in Guatemala City. Thousands of people attended the free daylong event featuring live Christian music and messages of faith. Author and speaker Armando Alducin, founder of Vida Nueva para el Mundo (New Life for the World), delivered the principal address. He emphasized the importance of remaining faithful to the values and principles that have guided Radio Cultural TGN throughout its existence.
In marking its 75th anniversary, Radio Cultural TGN not only celebrated its rich history but also reaffirmed its commitment to remaining a voice of faith and culture in Guatemala.
