Meeting the Spiritual Needs of Cuba: How TWR’s Ministry is Making an Impact Through Powerful Bible Teaching

TWR is reaching through extreme shortages to deliver powerful Bible teaching to the people of Cuba in their heart language.
The people of Cuba need lots of things. They frequently face food and electricity shortages, and this undermines tourism, which is a primary source of revenue. Freedom House classifies the nation as “not free,” and protests have proliferated in its largest cities.
What Cubans need most of all, however, is Jesus – a clear presentation of the gospel, sound Bible teaching, discipling and encouraging words of hope. And that’s where TWR comes in.
From our powerful AM station on the island of Bonaire, we broadcast programs carrying these messages and more to listeners across Cuba. Listeners like this one:
“I listen to your program with the Bible in hand. Your programs help me a lot to understand better. … I am 73 years old. Sometimes we do not have electricity here, but when we do, I listen to you. May God always bless you.”
Another listener on the southern end of the island wrote, “I came across your program by chance while searching for God and heard your email address. I'm from Guantánamo, Cuba. Thank you for the links, as they help me grow deeper in faith. Many blessings to the team – your message reaches far, and even from so many kilometers away, we hear about the power of God.”
