Glenn Pitcher
I first heard about TWR in 1981, at a youth event in Urbana, Illinois. Once home, I told my church that TWR was my calling. Fast forward 44 years to the fall of 2025. After hearing two impactful Sunday messages — one on a missionary's calling and the other on obedience — my wife, Dawn, asked me during the drive home, "What about TWR?"
For the last 30 years, I've worked at the same country radio station in Upstate New York, but God has called me to something bigger, bringing a conviction I felt all those years ago to fruition. Broadcast radio is the only career I've had since my time at East Stroudsburg University, and I can't imagine doing anything else. God has found a way to combine my love for him with my love for radio!
I'll be joining TWR's Radio Partnerships team, doing what I love most: talking to people. As Radio Partnerships Director John Summerville puts it, "The Lord has given Glenn a gift to sit behind a mic and instantly become friends with those on the other end. Glenn will be sharing what God is doing through TWR, inviting listeners to join the mission of reaching the world for Christ."
My wife, Dawn, and I live in Binghamton, NY, with our beloved 14-year-old Brittany Spaniel, CJ. We have three grown children: son Devon in Texas, and daughters Riley in Florida and Tara in Pennsylvania. In our free time, we love cruising in our convertible, playing golf, watching classic movies, and attending Southern Gospel concerts. I've also been a high school basketball official for over 30 years.
Dawn brings a wealth of valuable skills too, as John jokes, "our departments are already jockeying to see who gets Dawn as their volunteer."
As we step into this new calling, we're looking for people to join us in prayer, encouragement, and financial partnership. We’re humbled God chose us for this role and excited to serve on a global mission team like TWR! We can't wait to share what he's doing through our obedience.
