Sereth Macwan
Sereth Macwan’s journey into missionary service was cultivated from an early age. Growing up in India, he witnessed the transformative power of technology in advancing the gospel through his parents' work with TWR India. Their dedication to ministry shaped not only Sereth's worldview but also his aspirations to integrate faith and technology in meaningful ways.
With a passion for ministry and a fascination with technology, Sereth pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in India and also studied Music in Christian Worship at Alliance Univesity in New York. He also completed his postgraduate studies in Cloud Computing Technologies at George Brown College in Toronto. He has also accuquired numerous technical certifications, including certificates from Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. His commitment to TWR’s mission was further solidified through a web development internship at TWR Asia's Singapore office, where he gained firsthand experience in leveraging technology for ministry.
Sereth’s professional career in IT support and consulting has always been underpinned by his missionary heritage. In October 2024, he embraced his calling as a TWR Canada missionary appointee, joining TWR’s international IT support group as a Global System Administrator. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Sereth is preparing to serve remotely in a pivotal role, managing the technological infrastructure that supports our mission by maintaining and securing the technology that keeps our the gospel flowing.
Once fully supported, Sereth’s work will ensure TWR’s systems remain robust and effective, enabling the gospel to reach the farthest corners of the world. His journey—rooted in a missionary upbringing and fueled by a technical vocation—exemplifies how God can use our professional skills to fulfill his purpose.
Sereth recently entered a new chapter of life, celebrating his marriage with Shiny in December 2024. He is the son of faithful parents Satyanand Samuel and Evangelina Satyanand who have dedicated their lives to full-time ministry in India, a legacy that continues to inspire his service and commitment to sharing the Gospel through TWR.
Sereth is currently building his ministry partnership team and looks forward to beginning his service as soon as his support is fully raised.
