Role Summary

As the Benefit Manager, you will have the chance to spearhead the creation and implementation of benefit plans, negotiate policies, and provide excellent customer service, ultimately helping to enhance the well-being and satisfaction of TWR employees. Your role will play a crucial part in supporting the mission of TWR and making a difference in the lives of staff and supporters.

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Missionary Benefits Administrator: Cary, North Carolina (USA)

Our Finance and HR teams are looking for a missionary or volunteer to serve as a Missionary Benefits Administrator, contributing to the greater mission of making a positive impact in people's lives.


Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead, consult, support, and inform US benefit team (CPO, CFO, IVP, HR Director, Missionary Care Director, Finance Director, Finance Director -Treasury, Cash and Payroll Administrator) in the creation and implementation of benefit plans and policies
  • Recommend, seek improvements, develop, and negotiate benefit plans and policies alongside benefit broker to present to CPO, CFO, and IVP for authorization
  • Implement and administer various new or modified plans and employee benefit policies (i.e. medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, long term disability, retirement, and general leave)
  • Manage partnerships and services provided by benefit broker, vendors, and third party-administrators
  • Create and maintain internal processes relative to benefits, consulting with and informing Human Resources
  • Plan and direct day-to-day, monthly/ quarterly, and annual operations of group benefits programs
  • Manage and conduct employee information presentations and enrollments each renewal year; manage the preparation of written employee communications
  • Administer onboarding, qualifying changes, and offboarding of benefits for staff, in consultation with Human Resources and Payroll.
  • Manage and provide excellent customer service, assisting staff - via benefit broker as able or needed - with benefits enrollment, benefits education, questions, and escalated benefit issues; as well as Paycom and Leave Tracker tutorials and support
  • Manage insurance billing with Payroll Administrator
  • Manage all aspects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, administration, and reporting as applicable to TWR and its employees
  • Implement and maintain benefit and ACA modules on payroll system
  • Maintain employee benefit files and benefit census records; informing Human Resources, Payroll, and benefit broker as required.
  • Serve as the HIPAA Compliance Officer
  • Consult for Human Resources as needed on budget, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
