Role Summary

Would you like to be part of answering the call to reach the world for Christ through media? We need a person gifted in assessing audience needs, networking, and evaluating appropriate content for our media outlets in Africa!  Your role would include oversight of a regional team of content creators who have a heart to bring the wonderful news of Jesus’ saving grace to people looking for hope.  Let’s talk more about whether God might be leading you into missionary service with TWR!

Please note: This position can be a supported/sponsored missionary role or direct hire position.

Regional Content Director: Johannesburg, South Africa

Advance TWR’s global programming content strategy on a regional level by working closely with regional ministry leadership and creative teams.  Lead the development of TWR’s programming content to meet audience needs in the region, while assuring that it aligns with TWR global priorities.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow with attention to detail


  • Engage with the Audience Relations Department for audience response data and reports
  • Provide counsel as part of the Global Content Leadership Team, developing global content strategy
  • Work closely with other regional content managers and their teams in the sharing of content, human resources, strategies, etc. with an eye towards a unified TWR global plan
  • Oversee the selection and placement of programming on regional outlets and regularly assess the effectiveness of that content
  • Manage a regional team of content creators and any content support personnel, educating them in best programming practices and drawing on their strengths to enhance content
  • Continue to receive ongoing training to grow in the role

Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 years of radio programming experience desired
  • Must speak, read, write, and comprehend English
  • Must be proficient in the latest technology and software, e.g., Microsoft Office
