That’s why we create videos that are culturally appropriate, gospel-centered and useful to church planters using digital disciple-making strategies.

Note: this position is a supported missionary role, not a direct hire opportunity.

Supported missionaries develop a team of partners who provide financially for their full salary and benefits as a part of this role. TWR provides training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!

Why we need you:

Our animated videos are instrumental in sharing God’s story with the world. And it’s crucial to create high-quality animations that resonate with the culture so viewers can hear the gospel in a way they understand. 

As an animator, you will bring our videos to life, primarily using 2D techniques in Adobe After Effects. You will report to the art director and work closely with a small team of illustrators and animators.

Responsibilities:

• Animating our videos using 2D techniques in Adobe After Effects.

• Collaborating with the art team to create visual ideas and concepts in the early phases of production.
• Developing animatics and other tests as needed throughout the process.
• Staying updated on industry trends and adapt to new applications as necessary.
• Assist with other video-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• A commitment to Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a personal relationship.
• Enthusiasm for full-time missionary work, including building a support network of prayer and financial partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in computer animation, fine arts or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong 2D animation skills using Adobe After Effects.
• Strong conceptual and artistic abilities.
• Flexibility to adjust artistic style to suit project requirements.
• Team player with the capacity to work independently.
• The ability to learn quickly and have a high level of motivation.
• Humility, adaptability, and cultural awareness. (We work a lot with people in other cultures!)
• The capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Bonus skills (not required):

• Skills in illustration and/or design.
• Skills in motion graphics.
• Some experience with 3D animation.
• Cross-cultural experience.
• Availability to work from our office in Cary, North Carolina.
