Jeffrey gave his skills in programming to the gospel this summer, interning with TWR's online content platform, TWR360.

Most summer intern applicants do not picture themselves perfecting artificial intelligence for their future potential organization. Meet Jeffrey, who served as the lead developer for TWR360’s A.I. chatbot assistant called “My360 Helper.”

Jeffrey’s supervisor was David Creech, director of TWR360, who says of him:

“Jeffrey came to us as a near-prodigy in software development. From day one, he dazzled us with his ability to write software solutions and adapt his skillsets to full stack website development. God has gifted Jeffrey as an elite talent. I can only imagine the surge in recruiters who line up for his services upon graduation.”

A native of New Jersey, Jeffrey is a rising senior at Liberty University. He’s pursuing a computer science degree concentrating on software engineering and web and mobile programming. Jeffrey candidly shares God’s leading in his life and to TWR:

“I believe that God is leading me into missions based on the preparation he has given me over the years, especially this past year. I believe he has given me skills and preparation in doing ministry so that I can combine them with my skills in software development for his kingdom’s purposes.”

Q: What is your role with TWR this summer, and where will you serve?

I am serving in TWR360 working as a full-stack software developer [working on all aspects of a software application] for the website.

Q: How did you hear about TWR?

There was a career fair at my school in which I was searching for an opportunity to take my passion for the gospel and combine it with my talents and career objectives in programming.

Q: What have you enjoyed the most this summer?

I have really enjoyed how hands-on this internship has been and the ability to see the impact my projects are having on this organization.

Q: What is or will be the most challenging for you this summer?

The most challenging thing I have been working on is incorporating a user journey tool onto the website, particularly with ensuring security and incorporating the ability to save logs of user usage.

Q: What was the most exciting aspect of your internship, either work or personal?

I am excited to hear people’s reactions to the huge breakthrough we have developed for TWR360, I think it will really push the platform further. Additionally, I am looking forward to taking time to pause once I am done with my summer class, which will be concluding very soon.

Q: What was your favorite thing about TWR?

The mission and the attitude of everyone here, all directed toward the spread of the gospel.

Q: Was this your first ministry/missions experience? If not, where have you served?

This is my first missions experience.

Q: What was the biggest sacrifice you made to be here this summer?

Being away from my mom and dad up north. However, my aunt lives nearby so it all works out.

Q: What is your favorite hobby that you had or developed this summer?

Every day after work, I have been going to the gym to do some weightlifting and other physically demanding activities. I have been very pleased with the massive number of gains I have had with this new consistency I have developed.

Fun Fact: This past two semesters, I have been the only male piccolo player at Liberty University in both the marching band and the spirit band. However, this upcoming year I will be switching to alto saxophone, so my title may be taken, or it may remain. Time will tell.
