Recent drone attacks have severely damaged Ukrainian infrastructure. The conflict rages on.

Last week, two missiles struck an electricity plant less than a mile from the home of TWR Ukraine leader Alexander Chmut. “The war is getting closer,” he wrote.

Yet the voice of hope still is being heard across Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Even more so, in fact, because TWR’s technical experts were able to adjust the pattern of an existing transmitter so that words of hope could be heard throughout Ukraine and into Russia on AM radio. This transition was fully funded by those who contributed to TWR’s Ukraine-Russia Crisis Fund. The increased radio coverage is only one of the ways this fund has helped those caught in the war.

The war affects but doesn’t destroy the good work the Kyiv-based TMR Ukraine team is doing. Following a wave of attacks on Kyiv that began Oct. 10, they even introduced an interactive program on video, Between Two Walls. It was shown live from the safety of the studio’s basement, with the co-hosts at a table next to a furnace.

“It’s really safe here,” one of the co-hosts said in the debut program. “We watched the news, and we realized there was going to be a lot of shelling today.”

TWR Ukraine also has expanded its presence on social media, adding TikTok to its many platforms. One TikTok video featuring Chmut drew 296,000 views.

“We receive many testimonies of how people's lives are changed after listening to our programs and watching our videos,” Chmut wrote in an earlier report. “Never before in the history of TMR Ukraine have we received as many responses to our programs as we are receiving today during the war. We don't know when this war will end, but we do know that today we are witnessing an incredible display of God's power in the lives of millions across the face of the earth.”

Prayer points:
  • In a season of war, the Word of God is not returning void. Praise God that his power is being displayed in our day.
  • Please pray on behalf of the TWR Ukraine team. God has protected them throughout the war, but the situation remains perilous. Also, they and all Ukrainians are faced with electricity shortages and potential blackouts.
  • Please continue to pray for our ministry contacts in Russia and Belarus. Our Belarusian contacts are troubled by government edicts aimed at increasing the number of potential conscripts for military service.
