Marc Hepton

Marc joined the TWR family in May 2024. He was born in Sidcup, South East London where he spent the first 11 years of his life. In 1988 he moved to Keighley, West Yorkshire but struggled with the transition, he found it hard to leave his friends and life in London behind. He experienced some personal struggles throughout his 20’s which led him to seek help through the ministry of Teen Challenge in Scotland. Since experiencing Jesus, he has been committed to share the gospel message with people experiencing drug and alcohol problems. He has extensive experience of working in the Housing & Homeless Sector, with some of this experience leading Eden Gate, a faith-based homeless charity in Newport, South Wales. It was during this time that he gained valuable experience in stakeholder engagement and project management.
Marc first became aware of TWR through Frank & Alenka Stephenson who serve with TWR in Slovakia. Frank & Alenka attend Bratislava Faith Community Church, the same Church that Marc was attending between 2021 & 2023 when he previously lived in Slovakia. Through a difficult set of circumstances Marc and his family returned to live in Wales, but can now see God’s hand in this. Marc’s father became sick and sadly passed away in February 2024. Following his father’s death, Marc & Jana started to prayerfully consider returning to Slovakia and seeking God’s will for their family. In April 2024, Jana saw a job advert for TWR based in Slovakia. Marc applied and was successful.
He is grateful that God has opened this opportunity to serve with TWR and excited to be able to use his skills and experience within the team as a project manager in Bratislava. He will be responsible for executing and developing projects in Europe.
This is the first time he has worked in a role that is based on building a team of ministry partners. Please pray for Marc and his family as they embark on this unique and faith-stretching journey!
