Pavel Lavrov
My name is Pavel Lavrov and I am from Russia. From an early age, I’ve been traveling and visiting many countries with my family. In my home country we moved to a city where we found a church that we joined, and 2 years later I started learning the bass guitar and joined the worship team. My interest in music started to grow step by step. Before finishing high school, I had the opportunity to visit and study abroad. After 3 years of college, I’ve become fluent in English; however studying business wasn’t what I wanted to do. I’ve decided to take a break from college, return back home, and really think about my future. A few years later, after getting a job, my passion for music grew even more. I came to realize that music production is what I want to do, so I started investing time in learning instruments and producing music.
In the beginning of 2022, the situation in my country drastically changed. After praying for 2 months, God led me to go abroad temporarily. I remained there and joined a radio ministry at a Christian Radio organization on a part-time basis, as I was still unsure of my future plans. I continued to search for a full-time job where I would be able to work and serve the Lord. I started to look for opportunities at TWR after a friend told me about their global ministry to reach the world for Christ by mass media so that the lasting fruit is produced.
As a person who has passion for music, I’ve been searching for an opportunity to join a ministry where I can serve and use my skills to produce audio content. After building a partnership with the TWR Europe team and searching for opportunities to serve, we connected with TWR Korea where I learned about the Northern Mission broadcasting ministry to the people of North Korea. God has called me to join the TWR Korea Digital Media ministry. In my new position as Digital Content Audio Producer, I will be responsible for creating audio content for videos, special effect sounds, and assisting with program recording. It is important for us to produce digital content, and together we can bring the gospel to the people of North Korea.
