Frank and Alenka Stephenson

Hello, we are Frank and Alenka, both working in the Marcom and Donor Services department where we serve as missionaries in Bratislava, Slovakia. Our family is made up of 4 international cultures and we have two young kids that round up this melting pot.

I (Frank) am a German-American and studied Communication & Culture Management in Germany. The path to TWR came through a short internship at ERF Medien, TWR’s German partner organization. Two years, an internship directly at TWR and one college graduation later, I joined TWR full-time in autumn 2008 and haven’t looked back since. I find it amazing that the TWR family spans the globe. It is very enriching to me discovering how media ministry works in vastly different local contexts.

I (Alenka) joined TWR in 2010. I am an ethnic Slovak but born and raised in Serbia. Upon graduating in 2005 with a master’s degree in theology and mission in Slovakia, I got immersed with the world of media and missions back in Serbia by joining Ikonos, TWR’s local partner organization, where I worked as an office manager. During this time I met Frank and our joint work project took a personal note. In May 2010 I joined the TWR team in Slovakia in 2010 and Frank and I also got married later that year. It’s a real privilege to work at TWR amongst such wonderful Kingdom-minded coworkers.
