Human Resource Manager for Africa: South Africa (Kempton Park)

Our Africa Management Team is seeking a new member to contribute to the development of effective HR strategies and outcomes, fostering leadership and talent, and establish partnerships within the Africa region, all while promoting a high-trust corporate culture and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Steward, plan, develop and implement HR management programs and processes, including recruitment and selection, orientation, compensation and benefits, talent engagement and performance management, member care and staff welfare, training and organizational development, through to service end and exit for staff, missionaries and volunteers.
  • Work closely with corporate and regional leadership in developing and delivering effective HR strategies and outcomes in Africa.
  • Provide advice on global HR policies and practices, HR processes and work closely with the AMT, CPO, Country Coordinators and HR personnel in Africa to ensure provision of good HR services, adherence of global policies and practices, successful implementation of corporate-driven HR initiatives in the 4 regions.
  • Assist Africa Management Team (AMT) in the selection; negotiation; management and fostering of leaders and talents, as well as succession planning in the region.
  • Network and develop partnerships with potential sending agencies, churches and Bible colleges within the region and to establish good processes and practices for the selection, processing, preparation, receiving or sending of supported missionaries and interns, development as well as care of these personnel, throughout TWR worldwide and with a special focus on Africa.
  • Be familiar with partnering sending agencies’ policies and systems pertaining to missionary compensation and benefits, furlough and member care requirements and other important expectations and obligation of TWR as a receiving agency so as to provide good support to missionaries and sending agencies.
  • Undertake the continuous development and recommendation of HR policies, best practices and procedural improvements of HR services.
  • Assist the AMT in developing a high-trust corporate culture and an environment of grace in Africa.
  • Assist in developing good spiritual vitality and growth, individually and within the team in South Africa.
  • Assist the regional leadership in the implementation of servant leadership
  • Additional duties as assigned by the CPO.
