Eswatini Shortwave Antenna Project
East Africa is home to many of the world’s unreached people groups and remains one of the most difficult places on earth to reach with the gospel. TWR is embarking on a new shortwave antenna construction project at our Eswatini Transmitting Station to significantly expand our outreach into East Africa.
This project will double broadcast capacity, enabling delivery of high-quality gospel programming to over 150 million people, with an estimated weekly audience of 15 to 25 million. The antenna will strengthen access to four of the world’s most difficult countries for Christians—Somalia, Yemen, Eritrea, and Sudan. As instability, population growth, and limited internet access persist, shortwave radio remains a reliable means of communication. Required work includes tower construction, civil and grounding systems, and installation alongside existing infrastructure.
Through our current listeners, we sense a growing spiritual openness in the region and believe God is opening the door of this exciting opportunity for expanded broadcast capacity.
