Sri Lanka Cyclone Disaster Response Fund
Cyclone Dithwa struck Sri Lanka on November 27, 2025, causing catastrophic floods and landslides. Over 460 lives were lost, hundreds remain missing, and more than 30,000 homes were damaged, with Colombo and nearby regions hardest hit. Infrastructure collapse has isolated communities, while contaminated water and destroyed farmland raise health concerns. Thousands are stranded without shelter, food, or medicine, facing emotional and spiritual trauma.
TWR Sri Lanka is responding by providing relief aid to about 50 affected listener families in and around Colombo. Efforts include distributing essential supplies and offering hope through media outreach. Short prayer segments, devotionals, and encouraging messages in Sinhala and Tamil will air on local FM stations. Additionally, media players and SD cards loaded with uplifting content and biblical programs will accompany aid packages.
TWR aims to expand relief efforts as resources allow, inviting partners to join in restoring hope and serving devastated communities.
