Nathan Aguirre

Nate’s two greatest passions are Christ and technology—both of which he discovered as a young man. Growing up, Nate faced many struggles, but God placed him in a community where he was ministered to and ultimately found salvation in Jesus. His faith led him to pursue a degree in theology. However, without a clear call to serve in ministry at the time, he turned his focus to technology.
For the two decades prior to joining TWR, Nate built a career designing and managing IT systems, as well as developing open-source tools that have been used globally.
In 2021, while between projects, Nate received a clear call to serve with TWR. Grant Hodgins, then station director of KTWR, TWR’s shortwave station on Guam, reached out and invited him to apply for a position. Had the invitation come a moment sooner or later, Nate might not have been in a place to say yes, but God's timing is perfect.
That step of faith marked the beginning of his ministry at KTWR, where he served as the IT Systems and Playout Administrator. The role drew on his experience in programming, Linux administration, and project management—and it brought his career full circle: using technology to share the gospel across Asia through radio.
Today, Nate is serving as the interim station director of KTWR and is seeking to build a partnership team for his ongoing ministry with TWR. While TWR’s broadcasts to Northeast and Southeast Asia will continue via other outlets, Nate has been entrusted with the significant task of helping to bring 50 years of broadcasting from Guam to a close. He considers it an honor to walk with the station through this final chapter, stewarding its mission with humility and faith.
Nate lives on Guam with his wife, Andrea, their daughter, Ella, and a lively parade of pets. Their family has been deeply blessed to be part of the TWR community. He is looking forward to building a team of ministry partners to join the vision through financial and prayer partnership. As he steps into this new season of service, Nate asks for your prayers—for wisdom, peace, and continued joy in faithfully following God’s call.
