Do you have a gift for attracting and engaging audiences with creative promotions initiatives? If you have a promotional mind, you might be a good fit at TWR!  In international broadcasting, audiences change from culture to culture. We must know and understand the audience we are reaching and engaging. If you have a heart for global mass media ministry, help us go deeper and wider with our audiences to maximize our engagement for the sake of the gospel.

Locations: North Carolina, USA, Johannesburg, South Africa, Cyprus, Singapore, or Barneveld, Netherlands.

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. As a Promotions Specialist, you will develop and execute promotional strategies to expand audience engagement across various platforms. Your role will be vital in increasing listenership, fostering audience loyalty, and enhancing brand awareness for our terrestrial and/or digital radio stations. You will implement creative promotional initiatives—both in-person and digitally—tailored to different cultural contexts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns to grow and engage audiences, ensuring alignment with our mission and cultural relevance.
  • Coordinate and execute station promotions, contests, events, and partnerships to enhance audience interaction.
  • Leverage digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and website content, to drive audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with programming, marketing, and digital teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Plan and manage on-the-ground promotional events, listener meet-ups, and community outreach initiatives where possible.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations, sponsors, and partners to expand promotional opportunities.
  • Analyze audience engagement metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, audience behaviors, and emerging media opportunities to refine promotional efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in promotions, marketing, or audience engagement, preferably within a media organization.
  • Experience in event planning, social media campaigns, and community engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of audience engagement principles across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Excellent communication and creative thinking skills.
  • Passion for Christian media and a heart for using promotions to further the gospel.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven marketing strategies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in international broadcasting or cross-cultural promotions.
  • Background in radio promotions, media marketing, or digital engagement.
