Role Summary
Maybe you've been wondering how your skills and experience in financial spreadsheets, budget analysis, and audit support can help further the Kingdom of God.  How about helping us on our global finance team - managing foreign currencies, addressing financial questions from our missionaries, and reviewing/testing internal controls?  To be wise stewards of the funds God has entrusted to us and to spread the Gospel using mass media, we need people like you!  

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Our Global Finance department is looking for a missionary to serve as an accountant to oversee financial transactions, account analysis and maintenance of financial systems, while providing guidance to accounting staff. Supervise fixed asset inventory and necessary reporting and compliance issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or supervise preparation of bills and receipts and recording of revenue, support, and donations
  • Follow established procedures for payroll and fixed assets records
  • Understand and comply with internal controls and furnish documentation as requested by International Controller
  • Run monthly general ledger and other reports
  • Reconcile all bank statements for month end closing

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in non-profit finance
  • Knowledgeable in international accounting practices and procedures
  • Knowledgeable in the budgeting process, management reporting and internal controls
  • Experience with general ledger non-profit software
