Student Mobilizer and MPD Coach

As Student Mobilizer, you will mobilize and coordinate the internships and/or short term experiences for students within TWR, empowering them to discover missions and see if God is calling them to serve long term. Mobilize and recruit among student networks and events in Europe to present opportunities to serve with TWR.
As MPD Coach, you will be responsible for coaching TWR missionaries in their MPD (Missionary Partnership Development) journey. Share the responsibility of developing an MPD culture within TWR Europe by supporting the supervisor in their ongoing MPD organizational development efforts.
Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Responsibilities include:
Student Mobilizer:
- Develop a strategy to recruit and represent the ministry among student networks in Europe.
- Connect with (missionary), volunteer, short-term and intern contacts, and inquirer to proactively mobilize them for service and to ensure that their questions and concerns are responded to in a timely manner.
- Connect potential contacts, inquirers, applicants with supervisor for placement.
- Coordinate assigned recruiting event logistics, including registration, attending the event, presenting TWR and follow-up
- Encourage Christian students to engage in global missions.
- Look for new avenues to recruit missionaries and investigate their potential in the region.
- Attend team and departmental meetings and be prepared to give updates on your work.
MPD Coach:
- Research and support best practices and tools for all MPD-related activities in cooperation with supervisor.
- Research and support ways to involve all TWR staff in MPD in cooperation with supervisor.
- Work with appointees in completing their resources and communications tasks (bio, prayer card, newsletter, updates, etc.).
- Provide individual MPD coaching.
- Provide guidance for the regional MPD Support Groups at the various locations through their facilitators.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) in business, social science, cross-cultural studies, or a related discipline
- Experience of MPD and Coaching skills
- Can relate well to students
- Excellent knowledge of written and oral English
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting
- Work as a team member and practice consensus decision making
- Have a passion for people and the development of new missionaries
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications:
- Willing and able to do Ministry Partnership Development
- Knowledge of project management
Mission Requirements:
- Commitment to TWR’s Mission Statement, strategic direction, core values, and Statement of Faith
- Ability to work with people from other cultures and Christian backgrounds
- Active member of an evangelical or protestant church
- Willing to represent TWR’s ministry and develop a spiritual and financial support base who provide full employment costs as a TWR missionary
