Standby Power Generators Eswatini Station

TWR Eswatini is celebrating 50 years of broadcasting! We went on the air from this country in southern Africa, then called Swaziland, in 1974. The potential audience listening to our four high-power transmitters reaches into the millions, and people regularly accept Jesus Christ as Savior through the broadcasts.
The electricity supplier for Eswatini has implemented rolling power cuts (known as load shedding) in neighboring South Africa, and these can last up to eight hours a day. Eswatini is likely to experience load shedding in the future, bringing our vital broadcasts in about 30 languages under threat of being off the air when listeners try to tune in. To prepare for load shedding and rising power costs, TWR plans to purchase two newer standby generators.
Our current generators are 40 and 25 years old and nearly impossible to maintain since spare parts are obsolete. Based on future shortwave technology, we expect to need up to 1 million watts of standby power. Your gift will help us prepare for the eventuality of load shedding and ever-increasing electricity costs.
