Global Call to Prayer - June 2024
As with every four years, the world will hold its breath in admiration of athletes who have dedicated their entire lives to achieving their dreams of becoming Olympic champions. Sporting events have always drawn crowds because it’s inspiring to witness greatness, sportsmanship, perseverance and the surpassing of personal limits. As the world turns its eyes to Paris, TWR is partnering with PHARE FM in France to produce a series of programs the week before the Olympics, from July 22 to 26, featuring live interviews with Christian athletes and sports professionals who will share their stories and talk about their careers and faith. 
Paris 2024 is not just a major sporting event and entertainment opportunity; it is also a spiritual battlefield because the name of Jesus will be proclaimed, and the enemy will surely launch attacks. Therefore, we need your spiritual support and prayers. May the name of Jesus be spread, heard and accepted — for his glory!
► Join us in prayer for the core project team. Pray that they find the strength, wisdom and creativity they need to lead this innovative global initiative. Ask for God’s favor upon them as they manage extensive coordination, meet tight deadlines and navigate significant legal aspects involved in their work.
► Pray for clear communication among the TWR partners involved from around the world: France, English-speaking regions that utilize the TWR360 web page, Spanish-speaking regions, Brazil, and our Arabic- and Russian-speaking regions.
► Several PR materials with QR codes linking to the ministry’s digital resources are being finalized to be distributed at the event. Pray that these materials will inspire active media engagement.
► We completely depend on the Lord’s provision, so pray that we will receive more generous financial contributions to cover the costs.
► Pray for favor regarding the grant applications we have submitted to Impact France and Missio Nexus. Ask that God’s hand would be upon the decision-making process and that we would receive positive responses in May and June, respectively. Pray that these grants would be awarded to us, offering the financial flexibility needed to fund our project.
► Pray that as our project proposal is shared with TWR and PHARE FM donors around the world, it will resonate with them and inspire generosity.
► AI Testing: Pray for the success of the intensive AI tool testing in June, a collaborative effort with TWR partners, crucial for translating, formatting and repurposing audio and video content for a broad international audience during the Olympic Games. Ask for God’s wisdom as we learn and grow in using innovative technologies to further the gospel’s reach. We hope to achieve an automated process to make content available faster and more easily, with the help of Jesper Noer, an AI expert with whom TWR collaborates.
► TWR360: Pray for the successful creation of a dedicated page on twr360.org to showcase all the athlete interviews. Lift up David Creech and Ralf Stores in prayer as they oversee this project.
► Digital Campaigns: Several TWR partners are working on finalizing digital campaigns that require creative, strategic thinking. Pray for inspiration as they find ways to best reach their audiences with the content produced during this project.
► Pray that the project will effectively highlight PHARE FM’s heart for sharing the gospel through their programs, leading to increased visibility this summer in France.
► The project team is involved in numerous tasks that still demand attention, such as conducting athlete interviews, planning volunteer schedules, deepening relationships with churches and planning logistics. Ask God to give them the stamina they need to work effectively.
► Ask the Lord to encourage the radio station staff, which is currently operating with limited personnel. The Olympics project is only one part of the team's daily work, so they need physical, emotional and spiritual strength.
