Ready to Dry Our Tears
SRI LANKA — We at TWR do our best to share the gospel with people in Sri Lanka via our FM radio broadcasts, but truly it is God who speaks his perfect word in season.
“My name is Prasha* and my family comes together every morning to listen to the Thru the Bible program in Tamil. I would then discuss the study with my mother after the program, and this helps us grow in our spiritual lives. I'd like to share with you how God spoke to us through the program.
"A couple of years ago, one of my aunts had an accident and was called home to the Lord. The funeral took place on a Sunday, and we switched on the radio to listen to your program.
"The program always began with a prayer before the Bible study, and as was our custom we closed our eyes, clasped our hands and joined the speaker in prayer. To our surprise, the voice on the program prayed for God to console those who had lost their loved ones due to tragic circumstances. Those words pierced right into our hearts -- it was like God was right there, comforting us. We knew then that God always watches over us, ready to dry our tears.
"Your program also helps my grandmother, who is sick and bedridden. She shares with us that listening to the radio program is like attending a church service. She is grateful that she is able to worship and experience God’s word in this manner.
