TWR Nigeria provides “light and direction”

Nigeria, at an estimated 225 million people, has the highest population of any country in Africa. In fact, it is the sixth most populated country in the world and is almost double the second most populated country in Africa, Ethiopia.
The combination of Nigeria’s high population with the divide in the country between Christianity and other religions makes the country a prime place for missions. For TWR, missions in Nigeria takes form in the partnership with TWR Nigeria and its national coordinator.
TWR Nigeria is a ministry centered around media, but it does much more than that. In a country almost perfectly split in half between Christianity-dominated regions and those dominated by other religions, TWR Nigeria finds itself pursuing two goals: to develop missionaries and leaders among Christians and to provide outreach to the nonbelievers.
The former is being accomplished through discipleship groups and trainings held throughout the country. There are currently only two Every Man A Warrior (TWR’s men’s ministry) discipleship training groups in Nigeria, but Victa Media is looking to expand upon that by adding more groups throughout the country.
Something else TWR Nigeria is looking to do is reach out and communicate with local pastors. The purpose of this is to be able to encourage and support other ministries and to create a sense of community and fellowship among the Christian leaders in Nigeria.
As far as outreach is concerned, TWR Nigeria accomplishes this mainly through content distribution, or more specifically, Bible and radio distribution. Radio distribution is important because the radios are often loaded with SD cards that have programmes directed specifically towards certain people groups and their cultures. Essentially, those that receive the radios not only get the gospel but also get a guide to help them through it.
The next step for TWR Nigeria’s Bible and radio distribution is in northern Nigeria, where other religions predominate and where most of those who are unreached reside. The distribution that’s been started in those states has already proven to be fruitful, as has the distribution to other states all across Nigeria.
The thousands of calls like these that TWR Nigeria receives are evidence that the Lord has already used the ministry greatly in Nigeria and will continue to do so.

The thousands of calls like these that TWR Nigeria receives are evidence that the Lord has already used the ministry greatly in Nigeria and will continue to do so.
