The Happiest Family on Earth

A listener from Eritrea wrote:

"I am the second of seven children and am turning 17 soon. My dad works to earn a living for the family. Mom stays at home to take care of the house and the children. It is hard to stretch Dad's earnings to meet our needs. He also had the habit of spending time and money with his friends after work. This made the problems we had even worse, and life for us was so miserable and full of suffering and difficulties.

“Mom is a wonderful and dedicated mother, optimistic in spite of enduring the entire burden of the family alone. She is wise enough to manage the family life with the little income we were earning. She is a strong spirited woman confronting every challenge facing us. Dad was not as loving as Mom was.

“Every night she gathers us to sit around her to listen to the radio broadcast and then discuss the lesson we learned from it. She asks of us to see how much we have grasped. We ended the programme with prayer for Dad that he would come and join us to listen to God's Word. We prayed for months with a great enthusiasm.

“Glory to be God who listened and answered our prayers. Eventually, Dad became a member of the listening group. This has brought about a remarkable change in the life of the family. Now the whole family is enjoying the new experience of worshiping God together as one body. The life of the family is also being changed; Dad is not staying out and spending money with his extravagant friends.

“Now we have become the happiest family on earth because we are connected with the Lord Jesus Christ who is our source of peace, joy and satisfaction. And we are very grateful to the radio ministry for the support and for creating an opportunity for us to sit together and spend time to hear God's word, which did a miracle in the life of our family."
