Three Ways to Pray for the Tamang People of Nepal

Of the nearly 2 million Tamang people found across Nepal, India and Bhutan, only 6.5% know Jesus. Ministry can be difficult in this area of the world, but their need for Christ is the same as any other.
Here are three ways you can pray for the Tamang people of Nepal, as well as TWR’s outreach to this minimally reached people group.
1. Transformation
Pray for transformation in the lives of the Tamang people. May God open doors for social and economic opportunities as well as their hearts that they may recognize and accept the good news of Jesus.
2. God's Provision
TWR used to broadcast the Tamang Evangelical radio program from a single FM station. The program was an effective resource for sharing the gospel with Tamang people who do not yet know Christ. However, we have had to cease broadcasts due to a lack of funding. Please pray for God’s provision so we can resume the program broadcasts.
3. Spiritual Maturity
TWR is partnering with Tamang pastors to run media home groups. These comprise small groups of people who listen to the programs via SD card audio players and learn the Bible together. Pray for participants in the groups to grow in their understanding of God and become spiritually mature in the faith.
